About Martin
I’m Martin Castein, a photographer and educator focused on helping photographers make better photographs.
I teach from real-world experience rather than theory for theory’s sake. For me, photography is less about knowing more rules and more about knowing what matters, what to pay attention to, why a photograph isn’t working, and what to change to make it stronger.
Whether I’m teaching lighting, composition, lenses or working on location, the goal is the same: to help you move beyond simply knowing how photography works and start making better decisions with a camera.
No unnecessary jargon, no obsession with doing things the “proper” way, just practical photographic judgement you can actually use.
